_____Mike Campbell is an entertaining Alaskan songwriter with a wry, witty sense of humor. I often found myself laughing out loud as I listened to his tales of hunters shooting at him when they mistake his brown canvas coat for wild game ("Carhartts"), a nauseating ride to the Aleutians in a tiny plane ("Down To The Islands"), and the misadventures of Walter, a giant crab who is never in the right place at the right time. Campbell stays close to his folk roots musically, and his unique stories, bass-baritone voice and comic delivery are very refreshing.
