Commercial Vehicle – Officer observed a forklift driver using both lanes of the roadway to unload a tractor-trailer.  The officer suggested to the driver that this was a rather poor practice, and encouraged him to find a more appropriate location at which to complete the offload.

Traffic Roads – A school bus broke down in the middle of a roadway during morning rounds.  An officer responded to the area and provided transport for the two students on the bus.

MVA Damage - The driver of a pickup truck slid around a curve in the road and into the opposing lane of traffic before striking a vehicle in the oncoming lane.  Neither driver reported being injured.

Traffic Crime – An officer stopped a driver whose license she knew had been expired for approximately one decade.  The driver insisted that he had first a license from Hawaii, then an international license, before finally suggesting that one of his crew could drive instead.  After the officer discovered this crewman also had issues with the validity of his license, the agitated driver agreed to find yet another, validly licensed, person to drive.

Calcia, 39 yoa, of Unalaska, was arrested on one count of Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance II and 58 counts of Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance III following an extensive investigation of the pilfering and illegal sale of prescription drugs from the Iliuliuk Clinic.

Assistance Rendered – Officers contacted a grumbling, intoxicated man who was found sleeping in his urine-soaked clothing in the airport terminal, and advised him he was not allowed to stay overnight in the airport.  The rather unpleasant inebriate refused all offers of assistance and threw urine-soaked money and rain gear at the officers before leaving the facility.

Suspicious Person/Activity – An officer observed a man walking around near a parking lot and the Small Boat Harbor, peering into vehicles and gazing vacantly towards several moored vessels before disappearing into a small copse.  The man began walking towards the officer then abruptly fell down in the snow.  The officer subsequently determined the drunken man was quite incapacitated and took him into protective custody.
